Change IP-address
If your ISP has given you a dynamic IP-address (which is very common) you should be able to change it. Please try the following if you are using Windows.

If you have a router connected between your computer and your modem:
1. Log in to the administration area for the router (you may go directly to step 4 if you do not know how to do this).
2. Find a menu called DHCP or Tools.
3. Choose Release IP.
4. Turn off your modem and your router (press the power buttons or just unplug the power cords)
5. Wait 10-60 minutes (varies for different ISP)
6. Turn on the modem and router again and wait 2 minutes.
7. Check if you have gotten a new IP-address.
You can also use a proxy in order to hide your IP-address. A proxy server is a server that handles the communication with the Internet for you. Your computer is only talking with the proxy server instead of the entire Internet. A proxy server can be used to by-pass restrictions or blockings. But they are also used by spammers and other criminals in order to hide their true identity.
